Description TUTOR, HIGH SCHOOL EOC Algebra

Description Under the Direction of the Instructional Specialist:

1. Present subject matter according to guidelines established by Algebra EOC requirements, and curriculum determined by Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.

2. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.

3. Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.

4. Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.

5. Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.

6. Tutor responsible for working with students who need to pass the STAAR/End of Course Algebra exam. Certified or math degreed applicants are paid $27.50 an hour for after school hours and time on Saturday mornings; tutoring during the school day is paid at a daily rate of $90 a day or $45 for a half day.
