Primary Purpose:
Each event task worker is responsible for their respective area that is assigned at the Bastrop Memorial Stadium complex or athletic event through the district. Event workers work under the direction of the stadium manager and the district athletic coordinator. Assist in any area with preparation, operation, and monitoring of the facility.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
High school diploma
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to interact positively with spectators, parents, students, visitors and athletes at various events and provide general direction in the facility assigned during scheduled events.
TICKET SALES
- Count all money prior to the start of event, keep an accurate count of tickets
- Sold & money collected, be courteous & professional at all times, keep area
- Organized & free of excess belongings, ability to work at a fast & busy pace,
- Count all money collected at the conclusion of event ensuring that all money
- Collected matches number of tickets sold, sign off on sales report
- Ensure that items are ready for pickup at the conclusion of event
TICKET TAKER
- Greet all persons that are here for an event, collect tickets, check pass
- Direct fans & spectators to the proper location
- Be courteous & professional at all times
- Smile, & welcome all persons you encounter
- Be knowledgeable of stadium rules, ability to answer & solve minor issues or concerns
FIELD ACCESS MONITOR
- Monitor all entry to field from bleachers
- Ensure all persons have prior approval before entry granted to field
- Be courteous & professional at all times
RESERVE SEATING
- Assist & direct fans of reserved seating to the proper section & seating location
- Ensure everyone that enters reserve seating has a ticket per person
- Be courteous & professional at all times
- Keep area clear of bystanders & persons of non-reserved seating
EMS / BAND ACCESS
- Assist with getting the band into the stadium
- Direct to the proper seating location
- Assist EMS with getting in / out from field if needed
- Be courteous & professional at all times
ELEVATOR / RECEPTIONIST
- Monitor all persons entering office, including access to the press box
- Ensure all persons accessing press box via elevator sign in
- Be courteous & professional at times
PUBLIC ADDRESS
- Provide play by play analysis during game
- Communicate any information to fans in event of emergency or game delay as directed
- Be knowledgeable of UIL rules governing public announcements
- Be courteous & professional at all times
SPOTTER
- Assist public address with details & info as it pertains to the game
- Be knowledgeable of the game as well as official hand signals & penalties
HOME / VISITOR ACCESS
- Monitor all persons needing access from one side to the other
- Direct fans & spectators accordingly
- Be courteous & professional at all times
ADMIN / SECURITY ACCESS
- Monitor access to authorized personnel only
- Be courteous & professional at all times
SCOREBOARD
- Monitor game & input info into control to be displayed on scoreboard
- Be knowledgeable of the game
- Work alongside officials that operate clock
- Be courteous & professional at all times
MEAL PREP / RELIEF
- Setup & organize meal in the press box
- Ensure area stays clean & neat,
- Relieve other event staff &/or fill in as needed
