Description:

Under the Direction of the Texas ACE Project Director and campus Site Coordinator:

1. Present subject matter according to local guidelines and curriculum determined by Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.
2. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
3. Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
4. Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
5. Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
6. Responsible for working with small groups of students (up to 10) enrolled in the Texas ACE afterschool program at either an elementary, intermediate, or middle school campus.

Qualifications:

Degree required; teaching certificate preferred.

Compensation:

$27.50/hour; one hour per day up to five days per week.
